Do you want to start your own t-shirt shop but find thousands of reasons to not start one? Maybe you think there will be an upstart amount to pay? Maybe you are worried about having to deal with stocks and warehouses to hold your stock?
Welcome to the 21st Century
In this guide we are going to look at setting up a T-Shirt factory of our very own with absolutely nothing... well, almost nothing. You need to have an idea for a design, something unique to you and make sure you are not stealing anyone else's work without their permission!
Once the setup is completed you will be in a position to simply submit your awesome designs and then promote them on any platform you wish (we will go into greater detail on promotion and hooking up to other promotion sites in other blogs!).
Welcome to your very own T-Shirt Factory!
In this blog we are going to be looking at the Print on Demand service Printify.
Once we sign up to this service we are free to creating our designs and uploading them to their service. From now on, all our inventory is taken care of for us!
Weirdly, after the sign-up and before we name our store are encouraged to design our first product, so you can get right into business!
Now all you need to do is think of a name and.... you just created a T-shirt shop!
Adding more Stock!
Now that we have started let's upload a couple of designs and get them registered for sale!
Browser through their catalogue which you can find at the top of the website, from here you can choose base items to customise and host in your shop with a wide array of options to suit your needs.
Once you have found a product you want to customise you can click into it and browse down to the big green "Start Designing" button to create your product and add it to your store!
Become your first Customer!
You have to believe in your brand and you are free advertising space. Even better, you might have access to a physical space to sell your wares!
If this is you, once you have created a few products (maybe if you have got some interested already, too!) I would purchase a set of your own gear! Not only is the promotion invaluable to getting your new brand out there but it also allows you to get some discount clothes and your first profit.
For physical sellers you might want to keep a few pieces of your stock to show and let the customers feel or even try on. I have found it useful to keep a single set but try and persuade any customer to order online (even if I do it for them) so they get a fresh product and our sales increase!

Getting more customers in!
Now that we have our fully functioning shop and ways to distribute our product we can now start looking at different platforms to push our product out to on top of our passive selling.
Social Media
If you are signed up to any of the social media services, the Facebooks, Instagrams, TikTok and Twitters! this would be the first place to expand your business too! Even before you get your own pages, using your friends and family as Market Research!
I have no doubt your supporters will be kicking the door down to wear your merchandise!
Just remember not to spam them with "Buy me" or begging posts (unless you are really in trouble) if you are using this as a regular port of call, create a dedicated page and let your friends sign up for that to maintain their interest and keep them posted on your deals!
Shop Front Stores
Today on the internet we are spoiled for choice for different web shop front tools we can use. There is enough variety to create a range of different blogs and write ups on. Depending on your level of expertise with computers and websites would be the best indicator of which platform you should look to use.
This guide uses Printify to begin you quest for world domination as it is easy to integrate with other platforms to create your drop shipping set up. in other guides we will look at the connection process to other shop fronts!
Word of Mouth
Never underestimate the power of Word of Mouth. If you start making some really cool gear, everyone is going to want a piece. Don't be stingy with any samples you might get to play with. Just make sure you do not clip your profit margins!
Media Campaigns
This might sound a bit complex but it can be an interesting (and, yes! even Free!) way of reaching out to a whole variety of new clients.
I have previously written a guide on Faucet sites where we can accumulate credits for BitCoins. In this guide I go over how to use FreeBNBcoin.com, however, one undocumented use is to run your very own marketing campaign.
After clicking through and earning enough tokens yourself you should be able to begin creating your own advert campaign to show off your gear!
All Done!
There you have it! Your own personal T-Shirt business with very minimal effort, NO money down and NO stock to worry about!
This will allow you to focus on your day and add more stock as inspiration hits you. For now, explore the different products you can apply your designs to and keep and stay tuned in for more ways to push your brand out to the internet!
